Solar Eclipse Day in SC
Unless you've been living under a rock, you know that today is the day of the long-awaited solar eclipse. Fortunately for our staff, South Carolina is one of the best places in the nation to view the eclipse. Our state has experienced a massive influx of traffic over the past few days, especially on I-95, I-20, and I-26.
According to various state news sources, the majority of the hotel rooms in cities included in the path of totality rapidly sold out, providing a boon to the state's hospitality and tourism industries. In fact, the Charleston Post and Courier anticipates that the eclipse will bring over 1 million people to the state.
Visitors and residents alike are preparing for the once-in-a-lifetime experience, which is expected to begin around 1 PM EST and conclude around 4 PM. We will be unavailable from 2:30 - 3:00 PM to allow our staff the opportunuty to enjoy the eclipse but will be available both before and after.
